Roman Varlamov
Photographer | Art Director
New York–based photographer and art director Roman Varlamov creates fashion, beauty, and still life images defined by precise composition, vivid color, and a strong sense of movement. His work blends polished visual storytelling with a contemporary, emotionally charged approach to image-making.

In 2020, Varlamov became the youngest photographer in the history of Harper’s Bazaar to photograph the magazine’s main cover, featuring supermodel Daphne Groeneveld. He has since photographed figures including ROSÉ, Julia Fox, Maye Musk, Leni Klum, Alton Mason, and Daniel Arsham, among others.

Having studied dance, Varlamov brings an instinctive understanding of gesture, poise, and rhythm to his work. Across color and black-and-white imagery, his photographs balance elegance with impact, creating images that feel both refined and immediate.

In 2021, Varlamov was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Art & Media list. His work has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, Elle, Glamour, Robb Report, Numéro, Tatler, and Cosmopolitan, with clients including Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, YSL, Armani Beauty, La Prairie, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Graff, Chopard, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
